John Scahill began his chemical engineering career as a process engineer with DuPont Biochemicals. His career includes process development in thermochemical biomass conversion at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado for the past 23 years. This development work has been in both fast pyrolysis and gasification of various types of biomass substrates to fuels, chemicals, and power. His most recent activities consist of developing small modular biomass power systems for off grid applications.
