New Hampshire - Stewardship Contracting Projects

  • Forest Discovery Trail, White Mountain National Forest
    This project involved the construction of a universally accessible 1.5-mile loop trail with the dual purpose of providing much-needed recreational opportunities for the surrounding area, while educating the general public on the multiple-use concept of National Forest lands (e.g., wildlife habitat restoration, road decommissioning, silvicultural techniques, and general ecological principles). A contract was awarded in FY 2000 and project is completed.
