Bureau of Land Management

  • Gleason, Ely Field Office
    Gleason Creek watershed is a dense pinyon juniper woodland area with large fire occurrence. The objectives of the project are to reduce fire hazard, improve habitat for sage grouse and pygmy owls and reduce soil erosion. Approximately 50 acres will be treated.
  • Spruce Mountain, Elko Field Office
    The restoration project would involve the treatment of 200 acres to reduce hazardous fuels and diseased trees to improve overall forest health. Treatment areas would be completed in mosaic designs with irregular edges.
