  • Oak Wilt Control Stewardship Project, Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest
    The goal of the Oak Wilt Control Stewardship Project is to stop or slow the spread of oak wilt disease through cutting infected trees, breaking root grafts connecting infected trees to healthy trees, and ensuring proper disposal of the infected timber. Three contracts were awarded in FY 2005 and one in FY 2006.
